Soils and Stone Hits the Back of the Net

As sports enthusiasts, Soils and Stone were thrilled to be a part of an extensive demolition and rebuild of an entire football ground.

Our client wanted to bring together a small collaborative team to complete the project. For Soils and Stone this meant using not only our muck away and waste management services but also our comprehensive range of materials, including aggregates and recycled aggregates.

Muck away removal

Throughout the demolition phase, the site required hundreds of loads of muck away with both our grab and tipper services involved in the removal of the stands and surrounding buildings. On a daily basis, over 20 grab and tipper lorries were sent to site. Sticking to tight timelines, our quick muck away removal programme also avoided any extra time!

Aggregates and recycled aggregates

Following completion of the muck away phase of the project, Soils and Stone’s aggregates and recycled aggregates were used extensively throughout the rebuild. With a requirement for 6F2 crushed concrete, ballast and recycled sand throughout the restoration of the site, we had to ensure that each day we had a ready supply of quality aggregate and recycled materials that could be delivered both by tipper and grab lorry.

“As this was such an extensive project, we understood the deliveries needed to be on an ongoing basis.” Says Ozzy Cecil, MD at Soils and Stone. He continues “With careful preparation and ongoing client communication, we made sure that we had the materials to hand when the client needed them so that the football club could meet its deadlines and be match-fit as quickly as possible.”
