Working on a single project that’s designed to support both the local community, the natural habitat and the environment as one, is both satisfying and rewarding! So recently, when we were asked to work on a large commercial landscaping project to create a new green space we jumped at the chance!
The site started life as a slag heap on a former coalmine and the approved plan was to create an aesthetically pleasing, sustainable space for the wider community to enjoy and for wildlife to flourish and thrive.
Alongside the commercial landscaping team on site, Soils and Stone’s remit was to supply and deliver in bulk, a premium quality, British Standard 3882:2015 certified topsoil. Although completely confident with the quality and consistency of the imported British Standard topsoil, the history of the site meant, for that added peace of mind, our client also required regular onsite testing. So, within an allotted three week scheduled, our certified topsoil team finalised the most effective and efficient approach to deliver in bulk in excess of 4000m3 of BS 3882:2015 topsoil without compromising the additional site testing requirements.
