Recycled aggregates is material developed from reprocessing materials that have been originally used in construction, including sand, gravel, concrete, stone, and asphalt.

There are different gradings and sizes for the different types of recycled material available and the processes involved. Most material is crushed to a specific size and processed to remove contaminants through screening processes.

What can recycled aggregates be used for?

As the material is recycled, it is a multifaceted material that can be used for multiple applications such as:

  • bulk fills
  • bank protection
  • base or fill for drainage structures
  • road construction
  • pavements
  • curbing
  • noise barriers and embankments
  • bridge foundations

Price

The prices for recycled aggregates can vary according to the exact grading and the site location. Recycled aggregates are cheaper than primary aggregates, always remember to obtain the correct aggregate for your application. We currently don’t have a cost calculator available online, but please do contact us for further information.

Delivery options

We deliver in the loose or via industry standard bulk bags. We use a range of transport methods across the UK which can be tailored to meet your specific requirements.

We have a minimum order level of 10 bulk bags or 10 m3. If you require less than this, please ring on 020 8546 3860.

Deliveries of loose materials can be via:

  • 8, 6 and 4 wheel tipper lorries. 8-wheel tipper trucks can carry approximately 20 tonnes or 13-14 cubic metres.
  • 8, 6 and 4 wheel grab lorries
  • artics (dependent upon your site constraints)
  • walking floor (dependent upon your site constraints)
