Powering Through The Network

Our client, one of the UK’s largest energy companies, required a wide range of aggregates, including MOT Type 1 and 20-40mm shingle, to be delivered to a new and strategically important  development in the Midlands.

The project, which ran for over a year, required significant volumes of material and detailed logistical planning.  To ensure standards were maintained from start to finish, Soils and Stone worked closely with the team to understand both their on-going technical needs and the logistical set-up.  What’s more, the busy nature of the site meant compliance to a robust health and safety plan and the creation of a meticulous delivery schedule with each delivery adhering to specific time slots.

‘With over 8000 tonnes of shingle and 5000 tonnes of Type 1 delivered, we needed to maintain not only quality of the material but also the quality of service throughout.  To achieve this, we sourced a variety of materials and then sought final approval by our client.  Once agreed, we were able to deliver consistent, high-quality material in compliance with their logistic needs.’  says Ozzy Cecil MD at Soils and Stone.

Now complete, the site is live and contributing to the UK energy grid.
